First Time Buyers

Thu 23 Nov 2017

Good News Following the Budget announcement on 22nd November, If you're a first-time buyer: You will no longer pay Stamp Duty on the first £300,000 on property purchases valued up to £500,000. Between £300,000 and £500, 000 the standard rate of 5% will apply. If your property purchase is over £500,000 this exemption will not apply and you will pay the standard rates of Stamp Duty. This change applies to buyers in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. We will be updating the tool to reflect the new policy on Stamp Duty in the coming days.

"When Alethea came to value the house straight away and the property was on the market within days. The process was well explained, the staff were friendly and communication was great. The house was sold in one month. The fee was a fixed fee which we were more than happy with and there were no unexpected add on's. Highly Recommended!"
