Good News Following the Budget announcement on 22nd November, If you're a first-time buyer: You will no longer pay Stamp Duty on the first £300,000 on property purchases valued up to £500,000. Between £300,000 and £500, 000 the standard rate of 5% will apply. If your property purchase is over £500,000 this exemption will not apply and you will pay the standard rates of Stamp Duty. This change applies to buyers in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. We will be updating the tool to reflect the new policy on Stamp Duty in the coming days."I first started marketing my property with Alethea in August and we had sold the property by mid November! I do not believe this was down to luck, instead it was Alethea's drive and passion that got us this great result. Alethea has great attention to detail and is always on the ball. I was always kept informed of any progress including viewings etc. Alethea even gave advice to our buyers which was not part of her job but helped in speeding up the sale which was beneficial to all parties. I have been very satisfied with the service I received which was enhanced by Alethea's great personality and drive."
