Homebuyer Demand Set To Increase In UK

Mon 25 Mar 2024

We believe it is best for people to get as much information as they can before deciding what to do next in the housing market. This is why it doesn’t surprise us to learn that 82% of respondents in the survey said their property plans were on hold until the Spring Budget. Home Sale Pack spoke to more than 1,000 property buyers active in the UK market these days, and the findings suggest movement is on the way for buyers and sellers.

In the end, there was nothing significant that changes people’s plans about housing, but there could have been. There will never be a time without risk or problems in the housing market. After all, some people will now be nervously looking at the General Election date, and wonder what this will mean in the property market.

However, there comes a time when you need to make a decision to move or not. It seems as though the recent Spring Budget was a deciding point for many people, and we’ve already seen more people come to us looking for advice in the local housing market.

There is a determination amongst hopeful homebuyers

Ruth Beeton is the co-founder of Home Sale Pack, and she has spoken on this topic. Ruth said: “There is clearly a real determination among hopeful homebuyers. They have been waiting for the market to settle down and hoping for some kind of government-led intervention to make buying that little bit easier, but even though no such incentives have been provided, and even though interest rates are yet to start falling, most buyers are gallantly holding firm and pushing forward with their plans to buy.”

Ruth also said: “It seems that one definite concern is that rates will once again increase, but it’s unlikely that this is going to happen. We fully expect to start seeing rates come down this year, and this increased affordability will result in a surge of buyer demand on the market.”

"I received a great service from ADM in finding tenants for my houses and setting up the tenancy agreements. All the staff are always friendly, professional and aware of exactly what is going on at various stages of the let. They're always happy that chat on the phone and keep me fully involved in the process via email and telephone calls, which is my preference. Alethea is speedy to meet me at my properties to value them and take photos, and the brochures go live on Rightmove the very same day. I have had lots of dealings with estate agents as I am a professional landlord and ADM are the only one I recommend. They even have out of hours telephone support. 5*"
